Yes, that is a wooden crate used to ship wine.
But only have spare parts and scrap wood.
The pickup was salvaged from a no-name guitar somebody was throwing away.
Wiring so good you would swear it was British. Just kidding, it’s probably better...

Your jack is wired backwards, send the shield to the shield of the cable (the sleeve on the jack) not the other way around

Your use of the word “wired” is very generous. Luckily I didn’t solder anything. The white is just pinched between the nuts and the outter strands are held on with a paper clip.
